Strange Force / Força Estranha evokes the fictions and mysteries of dance to move the body, space, light, sound, objects and everything we don't know how to name. It deepens the research on space as a choreographic material that crosses sensations, affections and imagination. It pursues movement dynamically and vigorously through a body involved in the production and maintenance of a strange force that makes everything dance.
After 10 years of the premiere of the duet Dance Hurts / Intérpretes em Crise, Clarice Lima and Aline Bonamin return to the stage in this new duet that radicalizes the notion of kinesthetic empathy for the creation of a utopian place that makes alliances with times and materials, celebrating dance itself while ritual and production of vitality.
Strange Force was awarded for the XI edition of the Denilton Gomes Award - Creation in Dance and was carried out with support from the Municipal Dance Promotion Program for the city of São Paulo - Municipal Secretariat of Culture.
Here - tongue, hand, stone, plastic, water, green, fiction, flame, force, mystery, time, dream, body, bell, firefly - everything danced.
