WILD LOOSE AT HOME / BICHOS SOLTOS EM CASA
They released the bugs at home and they are everywhere! In the living room, in the kitchen, in the bedroom, in the bathroom, on the stairs, under the table, on top of the sofa, in corners and crevices. They are in the possible and impossible of their homes.
Wild Loose at Home is a live performance online of the children's dance show Wild Loose where four dancers, each in their own home, dressed in a costume/fantasy/creature/fantastic move in different dynamically, creating a new status of existence, questioning the relationship between man, nature and the domestic environment.
The show was originally created for public spaces and during the COVID-19 pandemic it was rehearsed via Zoom, adapting and reformulating the show's questions to present it in a live format. Each dancer/animal in her home explored and enhanced the changes that occur in the relationship between the show and the animals in this new domestic environment.
The animals are destabilizing agents of normativity and present themselves as a utopian device, enabling the creation of distinct and overlapping fictional layers - beings that have never been seen, already extinct and yet to come.
Wild Loose at Home rubs the logic of action and perception, invoking the consciousness and memory of those beings who will be released, full of desire, inside their homes, inverting and reconfiguring logics, patterns and social rules.
