FUTURA moves the research, creation, production, and dissemination in dance by Clarice Lima (CE/SP). A choreographer, director, teacher, and dancer, she lives and works in São Paulo, where she develops partnerships and creative strategies to produce her work continuously. Her training includes the Ceará Dance College (2002-2008), Folkwang Hochschule (2002-2003), a degree in the modern dance department (MTD) at the Amsterdam School of Arts (2003-2008), the intensive 50 Days Flying Low and Passing Through Costa Rica with David Zambrano (2010), and the Lote artistic residency with Cristian Duarte (2011-2018).
Her works move between dance, performance and visual arts, between audiences, children and adults, which we can mention Woods (2022), Wild Loose (2019), Supernothing (2018) and Dance Hurts (2013). Clarice's trajectory is marked by an intense artistic production, having been contemplated by awards, participated in the main contemporary dance festivals in Brazil and abroad, in countries such as Belgium, Chile, Slovenia, Spain, Greece, England, Lithuania, Portugal, Republic Czech, Sweden and Uruguay.
FUTURINHA is an arm, leg, eye, ear, and heart entirely dedicated to dance and childhood, verticalizing radical imagination!
It brings people together through artistic practices, imagining contexts for the creation, production, and dissemination of dance in the cities of São Paulo and Fortaleza, in addition to systematically conducting workshops, laboratories, and dance residencies, aligning its artistic practices with its artistic-pedagogical practices.
